The Bayern goalkeeper has warned that their Bundesliga rivals will prove to be a tough opponent in the Champions League final
The Bavarians are by many seen as the favourites ahead of this month's Champions League final at Wembley following their impressive performances against Barcelona in the semi-finals, but the former Schalke keeper has stressed that BVB will put up more of a fight than the Catalans.
"Not many teams go to Barcelona and win 3-0. That was certainly exceptional, and not something we had made allowances for. But now we want to take the last step," Neuer told the club's official website.
"It made an impression on the entire footballing world, but Dortmund didn't appear particularly overawed last weekend.
"This much is clear: it's a clash between equals. Dortmund are a first-class team.
"But we're confident, and we know that if we play to our potential, we'll win the cup."
The Champions League final takes place at Wembley on May 25.
