The Germany international does not believe that his side will be daunted by the atmosphere in the Spanish capital as they prepare to face Real Madrid
The German outfit will be looking to book their ticket for the Champions League final at the Bernabeu on Tuesday after winning last week's first leg at the Signal Iduna Park 4-1 and the Germany international has made it clear that the atmosphere in the Spanish capital will not daunt BVB.
"We have experienced a game here already this season, we know about the atmosphere. We know what it will be like and we will not be frightened by it," he said at a press conference.
"We know we will have a wonderful crowd here that will include some of our fans. We can't play with fear.
"This is not like any other game, it's the semi-final of the Champions League. It is a very special game.
"We are playing to get into the Champions League final and we have to adapt to what happens on the pitch. We can't rely on a fixed game plan."
Borussia Dortmund recorded a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu in the group stages of the Champions League.
