Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski has insisted that the team is the most important thing to the club's supporters as they prepare for their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
In reference to the news that Mario Gotze will be leaving the club to join Bayern Munich at the end of the season, the Poland international did not comment on the revelation but believes that the fans will get behind the side regardless.
"I have been here for six years and I know our supporters will be fully behind us tomorrow, because here in Dortmund, BVB is more important than anything else," the 27-year-old told reporters.
"What we have achieved so far has been outstanding. We are undefeated in the Champions League and hope to maintain that run until the end."
The Bundesliga outfit have already faced up to Jose Mourinho's side in the competition after they were drawn together in the group stage earlier this season. Die Schwarzgelben took four points from the two matches and Kuba has happy memories of those displays.
He added: "We played Madrid in the group stage and won 2-1. That was a great game. Then we went to Madrid and put in one of our greatest performances."
