Borussia Dortmund's sporting director believes it is crucial people within the club don't carried away ahead of the their first Champions League quarter-final since 1998

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has warned that his side face a stern test against Malaga in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The German side widely tipped to overcome Manuel Pellegrini's side and reach the last four, but Zorc insists that assuming the side will progress is a dangerous game to play.

"I do not like the fact that everybody is already talking about the semi-finals. This is the most dangerous thing we could do," the 50-year-old told Ruhr Nachrichten.

"In order to qualify, Dortmund need two very good performances.
Malaga have not reached the quarter-finals by walkover."

Meanwhile, ahead of Wednesday's first leg at La Rosaleda, coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Marcel Schmelzer and Jacob Blaszczykowski will be available for the game. Schmelzer will wear a facemask after breaking his nose against Stuttgart at the weekend, while 'Kuba' has been passed fit following a groin injury.

"Schmelzer will play with the mask, as playing without it would be unreasonable," Klopp explained.

"Kuba is feeling good, although he has not trained 100 per cent. He was the biggest casualty after the Stuttgart game but will be available to play."
