Rami optimistic ahead of PSG clash
The 27-year-old will miss the tie through injury, but believes "anything can happen" when Valencia travel to the home of the French giants hoping to overturn a 2-1 deficit
Valencia defender Adil Rami says he has not given up hope of pulling off a shock result ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.The 27-year-old ensured los Che travel to the French capital with a slim chance of progressing to the quarter-finals after his late goal at the Mestalla denied PSG a 2-0 victory.
However, the France international is set to miss the conclusion of the tie having suffered a hamstring injury, but is optimistic his team-mates can still triumph in his absence.
"I'll be realistic, it will be hard. But this is a European competition and anything can happen," he told ParisFans.fr
"If we score a goal at the Parc des Princes, anything can happen and it will be game on."
The former Lille defender also declined to mention if he believes PSG's recent domestic defeat to Reims holds any significance ahead of welcoming Valencia.
He added: "I don't know if PSG's defeat to Reims at the weekend can work in our favour, but if they lose against us they'll be in big trouble. They are a very unpredictable team."
