Rummenigge: It is time for Bayern Munich to hit the gas
By Stefan Coerts

The Bavarians' CEO was satisfied with the outcome of their clash with Valencia, but was not impressed with an underwhelming display
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has called on Bayern Munich to "hit the gas again".The Bavarians drew 1-1 with Valencia on Tuesday night but had a one-man advantage for the majority of the game following Antonio Barragan's first-half dismissal, and were unable to exploit their numerical superiority.
"We can be satisfied with the result but not with the game. If you have an extra man for an hour but end up being relieved it’s finished 1-1, that isn’t satisfactory," the 57-year-old told the official Bayern website.
"At the moment, there’s too much playing for a result for my liking. I’d already spotted this against Nurnberg.
"We need to get into gear and hit the gas again. We have a tough week coming up with games against Hannover, Freiburg and Dortmund."
Bayern will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday when they host Hannover.
