The Super Lig giants are still able to escape their Champions League group, after a close fought victory in Istanbul against the current leaders keeps them in the running
A second-half Burak Yilmaz strike was enough for the Istanbul outfit to secure a vital three points, and they currently sit in second place with one group stage game to go.
"This was the best scenario for us," he told NTV Spor.
"We won against Manchester United and Cluj won against Braga. My team played fantastically. I congratulate all of them.
"Now we are guaranteed to finish in the top three. Beating a club like Manchester United is very important - it doesn't matter that they didn't bring their top players.
"The match was played with a high tempo. Our fans were perfect. They prepared a great show and the team repaid them with a win."
