The Borussia Dortmund coach says his side face a tough challenge in their Champions League tie with the Liga champions on Tuesday, but believes Die Borussen can get a good result
Die Borussen pulled off a 2-1 victory against the Spanish champions when the two sides last met in the Champions League at the Westfalenstadion in October.
And Klopp feels they will have their work cut out but could pose problems for Madrid down the flanks.
"Real Madrid have a strong attack and have scored a lot of goals," the 45-year-old told reporters.
"The match will be more difficult due to the fact that they are playing at home. All eleven of us are going to have to fight, but it is possible to stop them.
"We're quite good on the wings, and if we use our weapons consistently, we could create problems for Real Madrid.
"We will close gaps and try to cover our backs and have a clear vision of what we need to do. That will be the key to success.
"We are ready to undertake the match with high spirits, and the football players have the quality and mentality to play this match like it were a final.
"We're not going to go out onto the field scared. Our respect for them cannot be higher than it was at home.
"In Dortmund we tried to play by taking control in order to win and that's the way to go. Real Madrid are motivated by the fact that they will be playing at home."
The former Mainz man also spoke about counterpart Jose Mourinho and Germany international Mesut Ozil.
"Mourinho is one of the best coaches in the world," said Klopp. "He is an international figure. He's a nice man and a good colleague.
"[Ozil] is a magnificent player, world class. But we mustn't forget the rest of the [Madrid] players, who can score a goal against you at any time," he added.
Germany international Mats Hummels also gave his thoughts prior to the European clash.
"We are going to try to do it as best we can," said the 23-year-old.
"The team is happy to play this match because every player likes to play in this stadium.
"I hope I do not get affected by the atmosphere and that I play the best I can. I'm ready and I know the pressure will be great, but it gives me wings, rather than clips them.
"It's a match we can win and we will try to do that."
