Fenerbahce to take Champions League expulsion case to Court of Arbitration for Sport
The Istanbul giants were kicked out of Europe's top competition due to match fixing allegations and will appear before the CAS next month

Fenerbahce are set to protest their expulsion from the Champions League to the Court of Sporting Arbitration (CAS).
The Istanbul club found themselves embroiled in the match-fixing scandal in the summer, and despite not having their Super Lig crown stripped of them, Uefa intervened and gave their Champions League place to Trabzonspor.
Fenerbahce are now to appear before the CAS in March in order to present their case against Uefa and the TFF, the Turkish FA.
"Our club was prohibited from participating in the Uefa Champions League. Our case in relation to Uefa and the TFF will continue in front of the CAS, where we have been given a trial date," an official statement read.
"These hearings will begin on Thursday March 22."
Fenerbahce's 4-0 win over Kayserispor over the weekend saw them close the gap on city-rivals Galatasaray to just two points, after Fatih Terim's men could only manage a draw against Eskisehirspor.
