Oscar Cardozo: Benfica Have The Team To Win The Champions League
The Paraguayan wants success on two fronts after going into the winter break level on points with Primeira Liga leaders Porto, and a last-16 tie with Zenit in February
By Enis Koylu
The Lisbon club went into the winter break level on points with the reigning domestic champions Porto, but the Paraguayan, who has scored eight league goals to date, is confident that they can wrestle the title from their arch-rivals.
"Being champions is something that every player always wants," Cardozo told Record.pt. "But the goal is also to bring back the Champions League. We have the team to win the Champions League."
Benfica line up against Zenit St Petersburg in the last-16 of the Champions League. The two teams will face off on February 15, with the first leg to be played in Zenit's Petrovsky Stadium.
