Italy coach Cesare Prandelli is of the opinion that the country's trio of clubs in Champions League can progress to the next round of the competition.

AC Milan were drawn against Arsenal on Friday in Nyon, whilst Napoli will take on Chelsea and Inter are set to face Olympique de Marseille.

The 54-year-old feels that the Serie A teams enter the last 16 in the right frame of mind, and could well make the quarter-finals.

"They have the right mentality," the 54-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

"I am certain the Italian teams have a great chance of going through, regardless of the prestige of their opponents.

"So far they have shown good capabilities, and are growing in terms of mentality and attacking approach, especially away from home.

"You can see a consolidated identity in the way they control the field," he concluded.

Last year Inter, led by Leonardo, were the only Italian team to make it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
