Barcelona Clash Is The 'Derby Of The World' - AC Milan's Adriano Galliani

The Italian champions' vice-president has underlined the importance of the upcoming Champions League encounter with the Spanish titans
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is eagerly anticipating Tuesday evening's Champions League game against Barcelona at Camp Nou.

The 67-year-old feels the Group H match is an encounter between the most successful team in history and the best club around at the moment, and has labelled the game the 'Derby of the World'.

"Barcelona are the best club in the world at the moment," Galliani was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "However, Milan are the team with the most titles. The game could easily be described as the 'Derby of the World'.

"It's a great thing to start the Champions League with a match like this. It will be one big footballing feast."

AC Milan have won seven Champions League trophies so far and finished runners-up on four more occasions. Only Real Madrid have won European club football's elite tournament more often, having recorded nine victories.

Barcelona have, to date, won four Champions League trophies and are the reigning champions, following last year's 3-1 win over Manchester United.
