Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp Expects Aaron Lennon To Be Fit To Face Real Madrid In Champions League Clash
England winger was unable to face Stoke in 3-2 win at the weekend having fallen ill prior to the 4-0 defeat the Bernabeu, but boss thinks he will recover in time for Wednesday

The former Leeds man fell ill minutes before kick-off in the first leg, in which Madrid dominated with a 4-0 victory to all but seal their passage through to the semi-finals where they are likely to face Barcelona.
However, Redknapp has stated that Spurs are not yet out of the tie and has backed Lennon to be fit to line up against the Spanish side.
According to The Mirror, the Spurs boss said: “Aaron was not well again on Friday. He was not well enough to play against Stoke. He did some work on Friday with the fitness coach and then joined in with a little game but he did not feel well enough.
“Of course I care about him, I think he will be fit enough to play on Wednesday."
Redknapp also insisted that his side will give it all that they have to turn around the massive deficit picked up from last Tuesday's clash.
He said: “The crowd already know that on Wednesday we will give it a hell of a go.
“But they can pick you off if you aren’t careful because Ronaldo can pick up the ball and run 80 yards with it and you think: ‘Oh, my God.’
“I have nothing to wipe away, the Champions League has been fantastic for us. We have brought Champions League football to White Hart Lane. That was my only aim."
The Spurs boss also outlined the task facing his side, pointing to the world-class talent at Jose Mourinho's disposal.
He added: "Real Madrid might have beat us 4-0 with 11 men, they are capable of doing something like that. Them and Barca are the two teams to beat I have said it all along.
“Real Madrid have dangerous players, fantastic players...I mean... £80 million for Ronaldo... they paid that for him. [Mesut] Ozil, [Angel] Di Maria, absolute quality.”
