Juventus Coach Ciro Ferrara: Bordeaux Were Much Better Than Us
The pressure is on Juventus and Ferrara, and he knows it...
It's a result that leaves the Old Lady's chances of qualification for the last 16 stage far from certain.
Second half goals from Fernando Menegazzo and Marouane Chamakh secure first place in Group A for Les Girondins.
Juventus were never really in the game and they now have it all to do in matchday six when Bayern Munich come to Turin where a draw will be enough to see the Bianconeri progress.
Ferrara is well aware that a sharp improvement is needed if his side are to deliver on the European stage.
"We lost the goal when we were playing better. We suffered plenty on set pieces as that's where their goals came from," Ferrara told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
"I had said to avoid giving away fouls near the box, but we failed to do that. Bordeaux were superior to us.
"[Alessandro] Del Piero? I think the whole team suffered and so did he as Bordeaux pressed us well.
"I am not satisfied at all, not with Del Piero, but with Juventus as a whole. As a team we did not do well at all."
