Thierry Henry Speechless After Barcelona Success
The striker is in dreamland after securing an historic treble with Barcelona...
Barcelona might have had plenty written and said about them this season, but Thierry Henry admits that he struggles to describe what they have achieved.
The Catalans have been the best team not only in Spain but also in Europe, where they beat Manchester United to win the Champions League.
Henry, who has rediscovered some of his best form this season, told the official Barcelona website that he is "proud" of the "incredible" year they have had.
"I do not have any words to define the season. We have done something that no other Spanish team has done before; the treble. On top of that, it was a treble that ended with the Champions League," he said.
"One dreams of winning everything, but now it is not a dream, because we have made it reality."
As well as winning the treble, the victory in Rome puts an end to Henry's wait to win the Champions League, after heartbreak with Arsenal in the final a couple of years earlier.
"It is incredible to finally win the Champions League. I was in the final in Paris against Barcelona and we all know what happened there," he mused.
Finally, the Frenchman spoke about his pride at winning the treble, and the history that they have made this year.
"We have to be proud because we will always be able to say that Barcelona was the first club to win the treble and that will remain in history, forever," he concluded.
