Last year's Champions League winners were unable to maintain their Serie A and CL crown, but the defender still thinks it's been a good season for InterDefender Andrea Ranocchia has voiced his opinion that Inter have enjoyed a positive season so far.
The Giuseppe Meazza club were unable to maintain their Champions League and Serie A crowns, but did win the Club World Cup and the Supercoppa Italiana, while they meet Palermo in the final of the Coppa Italia.
"If we manage to win the final of the Coppa Italia, it will already be our third trophy of the season. It has definitely been a positive season for Inter," Ranocchia was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"It does not matter for us that we will face Palermo instead of AC Milan. All that matters to us is winning the final."
The Italy international then went on to praise head coach Leonardo for the way he introduced Ranocchia into the first team.
"He dealt with me very intelligently and I have to thank him for that. He did not just throw me into the first team when I joined Inter. He waited for the right moment and for the right atmosphere."
Ranocchia currently sit 286th in the Castrol EDGE Rankings following his recent performances for Inter.
