The Brazilian midfielder has picked up a knee injury and will be forced to watch Sunday's match from the stands due to the knockItalian powerhouse Inter have received some disturbing news from the treatment table regarding the fitness of midfielder Thiago Motta ahead of the Serie A clash against Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon.
The former Barcelona midfielder has been ruled out of the match at the Giuseppe Meazza after picking up a knee injury in the final training session on Saturday.
Inter have revealed on their official website that Motta twisted his right knee during Saturday's training session and that the holding midfielder has consequently been excluded from the match squad for the game against Fiorentina.
It's not yet known exactly how long Motta will be sidelined due to the knock, but Inter are hopeful that the midfielder will be match fit again for the Coppa Italia semi-final second-leg against Roma in midweek.
Ivan Cordoba, Wesley Sneijder, Dejan Stankovic and David Suazo all continued their separate rehabilitation programmes following their respective injuries and won't feature against Fiorentina either.
