The club's vice-president expressed his pleasure after they clinched the league title in Rome and he congratulated coach Massimiliano Allegri on his achievementAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has expressed his delight at seeing the club lift their first Scudetto since 2004 after their 0-0 draw with Roma gave them an insurmountable lead over fierce rivals Inter.
"All the Scudetti are beautiful but what really sticks in the memory is how it feels from the heart. It is great and I think that we deserved it. We started in July with the idea of winning the championship and we did it," he told Sky Italia after the game.
Galliani moved to congratulate coach Massimiliano Allegri, who managed to secure the title in his maiden season at the San Siro following his summer move from Cagliari.
"Allegri has done superbly and he follows in the footsteps of our great coaches of the past who finished in first place. It was very good. I am very happy that the title remains in Milan but finally changed sides."
After Leonardo left the club, Galliani hired Allegri in order to revive the fortunes of the Italian giants, as well as attracting high-profile signings on the field with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Mark Van Bommel.
