Juventus have captured Alberto Aquilani on a season-long loan from Liverpool, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
After several medical tests following his arrival in Italy on Sunday, Juventus have officially announced the move via their website.
The Italian club have the option to buy the midfielder permanently at the end of the loan agreement.
A note reads:
"Aquilani is a Juventus player. Juventus Football Club announces that an agreement with Liverpool F.C. for the free temporary acquisition of the registration rights of the player Alberto Aquilani has been reached.
"The agreement also includes the option right, to be exercised at the end of 2010/2011 season, for the definitive acquisition by Juventus of the football player at the price of €16million, to be paid in three years."
Aquilani joined Liverpool from Roma last year, but he endured an injury-plagued campaign, making just a handful of appearances for the Reds.
