‘Canna’ could extend his stay at the Olimpico beyond this season.
The 36-year-old rejoined the Old Lady on a one-year contract last summer and press reports have suggested the Turin giants are unwilling to offer him an extension as they prepare for a major summer clear-out.
But agent Gaetano Fedele told Tuttomercatoweb: “I think we’ll have to wait a month or a month-and-a-half before we can talk about a renewal.
“We also have to see how Juve’s season ends. Of course, Fabio is sorry for what happened, but I think that Juve will manage to achieve their target in the end and the champions they have in their squad will salvage this season.”
Juve are already out of all of the cup competitions and are two points adrift of a top-four finish in Serie A with nine games remaining this season.
