Inter Appeal Maicon Suspension
The Nerazzurri have lodged an appeal against the Brazilian’s two-match ban…
Maicon was sent off during the dying seconds of last Saturday’s 3-1 win over Bologna, after a linesman allegedly misinterpreted the defender’s words.
Inter have insisted the official wrongly thought the Brazilian had abused him when Bologna were awarded a throw-in and these are likely to be the grounds on which the Nerazzurri will establish their case.
The Lega Calcio Disciplinary Commission is expected to examine the case over the next few days.
Inter host Fiorentina at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon, before making the trip to second-placed Juventus on December 5.
