Roma Ace Daniele De Rossi Discharged From Hospital After Cheekbone Surgery
The midfielder is back at home and should return to action in 20 days...
The 26-year-old went under the knife on Monday after being accidentally elbowed by Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira during Sunday’s 1-1 draw at the Stadio San Siro.
The statement on the club’s official website says that the condition of the Italy international will be evaluated over the next few days in order to estimate his recovery time.
However, there are suggestions that the setback will keep the 2006 World Cup winner sidelined for up to 20 days and he is unlikely to feature in the home clash with Bari after the international break.
De Rossi could make his comeback the following weekend when Roma travel to Atalanta, but he is expected to wear a protective mask.
