According to reports coming out of England and reported on TMW, Roma are interested in bring Newcastle United midfielder Jonás Gutiérrez to the Italian capital.
The Giallorossi has previously inquired about bringing the Argentinean to the penninsula, but this time, look set to have more of an opportunity.
The deal could be done as early as the January transfer window, but Claudio Ranieri and the Roma management will have to fight off Barcelona, who are also interested in acquiring the services of the 27-year-old.
Roma take on Udinese at the Friuli Stadium on Wednesday night, when the league plays a midweek fixture.
