Gianluca Pagliuca: Inter's Julio Cesar Is The World’s Best Goalkeeper
With the Brazilian goalkeeper linked with a potential move to Manchester United, Pagliuca has declared that he believes Inter must do everything they can to keep hold of a unique talent...
Former Italy international goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca has declared that Inter custodian Julio Cesar is the world's best, and he hopes the Nerazzurri can keep hold of their glovesman. The Brazilian goalkeeper has been linked to Manchester United in recent days, but Pagliuca believes that it would be a huge lose for the Beneamata if he moved away.
"I read in the newspapers about Manchester United's interest in Julio Cesar, but I remain convinced that [Inter president Massimo] Moratti will not let him go easily," explained the Sky analyst to Il Giorno.
"I think that the Brazilian is a correct person and I see him very adapted to the Nerazzurri's group; with him in goal they are safe.
"I don't want to make any uncomfortable comparisons, but there is no one better than the Inter goalkeeper in the world."
Pagliuca played for Inter between 1994 and 1999, featuring in a total of 165 league games in which he conceded 165 goals.
