Nicolas Burdisso has been tipped to leave Inter at some stage this summer, simply due to the fact that Jose Mourinho has demanded that the club trim down the squad for the coming campaign.
Despite this, Burdisso was included in the 24-man squad for the Supercoppa Italiana final against Lazio this weekend, so perhaps his boss has had a change of heart.
The Argentine has been linked with a loan move to a number of clubs, in Italy in particular; however, his agent, Fernando Hidalgo, recently reaffirmed that his client would not be leaving the Nerazzurri on this sort of basis.
“Burdisso will not go anywhere on loan,” his agent stressed to Calciomercato.it.
“He is a quality defender, so therefore if a club are interested in him, then they will have to respect his full value.
“Whoever wants a player of his quality on loan understands nothing about football in my opinion.”
Roma have been linked most closely with Burdisso, following the departure of Christian Panucci on a free transfer, as well as Simone Loria and Souleymane Diamoutene.
But Hidalgo added, “Roma? Again, nobody has contacted me from that club.”
