Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on the verge of joining Barcelona after Italian bookmakers stopped taking bets, leading to increased speculation that the hitman will leave Inter.
New details emerging from Sky Sport Italia claim no more wagers are being taken on the possibility of the lanky striker moving to Spain. The news comes just hours after Spanish press reported that a deal had been reached between both clubs over the player's future.
Massimo Moratti did speak about transfers, but he was less than clear, limiting himself to claiming that some players could be sold if the price was right.
Voices in Italy also suggested that coach Jose Mourinho has given the move the go-ahead. The report suggests the Portuguese tactician has told Moratti he would prefer Chelsea striker Didier Drogba as a replacement for the Sweden star.
Although reports are rife, official facts from the clubs backing the Italian claims are scarce at this stage.
