thumbnail Hello,

The 'good' Atletico Madrid will turn up on Saturday night at Camp Nou, Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola believes.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola certainly doesn’t want his club taking the challenge of Atletico Madrid lightly ahead of the sides’ meeting at Camp Nou on Saturday night.

The Catalans are going along superbly at the head of the Primera Division and will set a new mark for consecutive wins if they claim three points, but even though los Colchoneros are not performing as they might in the league, Guardiola has warned they will be a difficult challenge.

“Every game against Atletico is a different story,” he is quoted by Marca as having said. “They are capable of anything and we have to be serious and focussed because this is a great game for the league. They come to play a great game because they know they have to do it.”

Known for their contrasting performances, the Barca coach expects Atleti to show their good face on Saturday, and he has also talked down his club’s lead over Real Madrid.

“There are many games left,” he stated.

After winning through to the Copa del Rey final on Wednesday evening by defeating Almeria, the coach is looking forward to another Clasico against los Blancos.

“If given the choice, I'd rather not play at the Bernabeu as Real Madrid are stronger in that stadium and would be an advantage for them,” the 40-year-old said.

Barca are once again chasing the treble of the league, cup and Champions League, and so far they remain on course to repeat their remarkable achievement of 2008-09.
