Real Madrid have revealed that Kaka is recovering well and is on course to resume training with the squad.
The Brazil international has been out of action since undergoing knee surgery in August. Kaka is expected to return to full match fitness by the start of the New Year and Madrid have now confirmed that the 28-year-old is progressing well and that he will return to training before long.
A statement on Madrid's official website reads:
"During a meeting between Real Madrid's medical services and Dr. Toribio Leite to discuss the progress of Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos, Kaka, it was determined that the player's functional and biomechanics levels are satisfactory.
"A specific field work regiment that should see the player rejoin the team by the initial deadline has been prescribed."
