Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria has voiced his opinion on the imminent El Clasico encounter on November 29 at the Camp Nou, and believes that the match will be decided by the form of team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The former Benfica wide man is likely to make his first appearance in the famous derby clash, and speaking to AS about how he feels the match will transpire, he said he reckons that the two best players in the world will do battle to decide the outcome.
He declared: “It is a cute game. We know that Real Madrid has gone a while without a win over Barcelona, and we will have to give everything to beat them.
“[Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo] are the best in the world, and they will be key in the Clasico.”
Di Maria also discussed his relationship with coach Jose Mourinho, who made the Argentine his first signing upon arriving at the Bernabeu during the summer.
He added: “He has given me confidence and makes me more at ease. He has taught me to sacrifice more for the team. He takes the responsibility and it takes the pressure off of the players.”
