French striker Karim Benzema has returned to Real Madrid training this morning, as reported by AS. The French striker, ranked 139 in the Castrol Rankings, returned to the pitch yesterday for a light job and appears to have recovered from his sports hernia, taking part in normal training today.

However, Dutch winger Royston Drenthe seems to have taken a step back in his recovery from a left leg injury, having returned to the team's indoor facilities after participating in a light training session yesterday.

Mahamadou Diarra, Kaka and Sergio Ramos also trained a lighter place from the rest of the team today, each recovering from his respective light knock. Pellegrini called up left-back Marcos Alonso from the reserve squad to complete the session.
