Pick Your Real Madrid Team For El Clasico
Los Blancos have announced their 19-man squad to face Barcelona...
Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has chosen his squad to travel to Barcelona for el Clasico on Sunday.
Raul Albiol has been included, despite carrying a slight injury. The defender picked up a knee injury during los Merengues' midweek clash with FC Zurich, but has stated that he will do anything to be present in the Camp Nou tomorrow.
As a result, Pellegrini has included him in his 19-man squad and will make a decision at the last minute as to whether he is fit.
There are few surprises in the remainder of the squad, as Pellegrini has picked all his big names as he looks to put out his strongest side for 'el Clasico'.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been included' after making his comeback from an ankle injury in midweek, while the likes of Kaka and Karim Benzema are also present.
Since Pellegrini has chosen 19 players, one will have to be discarded before the match.
Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas, Jerzy Dudek.
Defenders: Alvaro Arbeloa, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Raul Albiol, Ezequiel Garay.
Midfielders: Mahamadou Diarra, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lassana Diarra, Royston Drenthe, Xabi Alonso, Esteban Granero, Rafael van der Vaart.
Forwards: Raul, Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuain.
We ask you to leave your choices in the comments feature below using hyphens to separate positions, working from right to left. For example, here is the side that could line up in a4-3-1-2 formation:
Casillas – Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Garay, Arbeloa – Lass, Xabi Alonso, Marcelo – Kaka – Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo.
