Real Madrid Midfielder Fernando Gago Hoping For Boca Juniors Loan - Report
The midfielder is looking to boost his World Cup prospects...
The 23-year-old midfielder is understood to be concerned by a lack of substantial game time with Los Merengues and feels that it is affecting his chances of making the final 23-man Albilcelestes squad for the 2010 finals, according to AS.
Since the arrival of Xabi Alonso from Liverpool during the summer, Gago's playing time has been reduced drastically and Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini is believed to also favour French midfielder Lassana Diarra and veteran Blanco Guti over the Argentinian.
Gago arrived at the Bernabeu from Boca in 2007 and has since played 100 games in all competitions in the famous white shirt but has only managed to one goal. Madrid are understood to be reluctant to allow him to leave as although he is not playing now, the season ahead is long and Los Blancos may require his services at a later stage, depending on injury.
