It Is A Shame Real Madrid Went Top Of La Liga - Victor Valdes
Los Merengues head into el Clasico on top of the pile...
Victor Valdes has warned that Barcelona must not drop too many more points this season after seeing Real Madrid replace them at the top of the league on Saturday evening.
The Blaugrana 'keeper was disappointed to have gone away from San Mames with a share of the spoils after taking the lead through Daniel Alves shortly after the break.
Gaizka Toquero's leveller for Athletic Bilbao meant that Madrid moved into top spot ahead of el Clasico next weekend and Valdes is hoping that there will not be many moer slip-ups this season.
"The league is long but we cannot drop too many points along the way," he was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
Madrid edged a point in front of their arch rivals with victory over Racing Santander and Valdes was not pleased that the clubs had swapped positions at the top.
"It is a shame that Madrid will come to Camp Nou as leaders," he added.
