Real Madrid Must Be Patient With Cristiano Ronaldo - Jorge Valdano
The director has called for calm concerning both the injury to 'CR9' and los Blancos' Champions League campaign...
"He's on the right lines, but we are going to use patience with him so that the player doesn't become anxious," Valdano explained to Marca.
"We consider the squad that we have to be gifted."
After facing Racing Santander on Saturday, los Merengues' Champions League campaign resumes with a home tie against FC Zurich.
Valdano affirmed that the club are trying to take the competition one step at a time, and are attempting to put thoughts of next May's final, which will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu, out of their minds.
"First we have to get out of the group - we are going to focus ourselves on this before thinking about the final," he stated.
The director also looked to clear up the situation surrounding Guti, who has been left out of this weekend's squad due to injury.
"He trained very well this week and it's up to the coach to manage him now," he concluded.
