Real Madrid Are A Victim Of Barcelona's Success - Xavi

Xavi thinks Madrid have done well in the transfer market...

Barcelona midfielder Xavi insists that rivals Real Madrid are a victim of his side's treble success of last season but thinks the Blancos have made good signings in a bid to challenge the Blaugrana's dominance.

"They [Real Madrid] are the victim of the treble, they made signings that were hard on the chequebook," Xavi told a press conference before adding that Los Merengues "signed well" during the summer transfer window.

The most expensive of those signings, Cristiano Ronaldo, looks to be available for El Clasico on November 29 and Xavi acknowledges that the Portuguese winger is "capable of winning games on his own".

The Barcelona playmaker also had words of praise for Real coach Manuel Pellegrini, describing the Chilean as "a fantastic coach that lives and dies by his ideas".

In contrast to the changes at Madrid, Xavi said Barcelona are a "complete team who know how to play together in the Barca philosophy".
