Luiz Felipe Scolari believes that Real Madrid must give coach Manuel Pellegrini much more time to impress.

The Brazilian trainer has been tipped as a possible replacement for the Chilean should Los Merengues' season deteriorate even further, but he does not agree a change should be made.

Currently coaching Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan, Scolari thinks that Madrid need to be patient with Pellegrini and allow him the time to implement his plans with the squad.

"I'd say to Madrid that they should give Pellegrini the conditions to show what he has already done at Villarreal," he was quoted as saying by AS.

"If Madrid want to win the league and be a great team they must follow the initial plan.

"You cannot keep changing the coach every four or five months after losing a game."

Michael Laudrup, Sven Goran Eriksson and Roberto Mancini have also been tipped to replace Pellegrini in the Spanish media.
