Pep Guardiola is set to use the Copa del Rey to give Barcelona's promising B team starlets the chance to play at the highest level after succeeding with the tactic last term.
In the early rounds of the competition, the Blaugrana fielded several young hopefuls, including Pedro, and a repeat is on the cards after another experimental squad was named.
Barca face Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday evening and Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gerard Pique, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Carles Puyol have all been rested, while Thierry Henry and Gaby Milito are still injured.
Defenders Ivan Benitez and Andreu Fontas are in the squad along with Jonathan Dos Santos, Gai Assulin and Jonathan Soriano, while Jeffren is also included.
Jose Manuel Pinto is set to play in goal, as he did throughout the cup last season as Barca went on to win the final against Athletic Bilbao in Valencia.
Barcelona squad
Goalkeepers: Valdes, Pinto
Defenders: Benitez, Chygrynskiy, Marquez, Fontas, Abidal, Maxwell
