Iker Casillas Eager For Titles With Real Madrid & Spain After LFP Award
Iker is named Best Goalkeeper for 2008/09...
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says he is as keen as ever to win titles with Los Blancos after picking up another individual award at an LFP ceremony in the Spanish capital.
Casillas picked up the award for the league's best goalkeeper in 2008/09 and afterwards told AS that he aims to continue winning trophies with Madrid and with Spain.
Despite already having four league titles, two UEFAChampions Leagues and the Euro 2008 success with La Furia Roja, the 'keeper insists that the day he loses that desire to win trophies he will quit football.
"I want titles and good times ahead with my club and with the national team. I want to win all the cups possible. The day that I am not greedy I'll have to leave football," he remarked.
The 28-year-old stopper is in his 11th season as first choice goalkeeper for Los Merengues and recently became just the third Spanish footballer to win 100 caps for Spain, behind Raul and Andoni Zubizarreta.
