Cristiano Ronaldo Winner For Real Madrid Makes Him Joint-Top Scorer With Barcelona's Lionel Messi In Copa Del Rey

Argentina international failed to carry on his sensational goalscoring form for the Spanish champions as his Portuguese rival netted the winner to draw level with him

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has finished top scorer in the Copa del Rey this season along with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi after the Portuguese headed home the winner in the final on Wednesday evening.

The 26-year-old scored in the 13th minute of the extra-time period against Barcelona in their 1-0 victory at the Mestalla as he headed home an Angel Di Maria cross from the left wing. It was the Portugal international’s seventh goal of the competition and brought him up to date with Messi.

Almeria striker Leonardo Ulloa ended third in the scorers’ list in the competition with six goals.
