Barcelona's Sandro Rosell: Mestalla Copa Final Possible, But Let's Go Game By Game

Barcelona president believes the Copa Del Rey final is likely to be held at Valencia's Mestalla Stadium...

Speaking after Barcelona's 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, president Sandro Rosell spoke of the possible venue for the Copa Del Rey final, suggesting that the Mestalla is probably the most likely option.

"Given the capacity of the stadium and the distance between the two teams it is very possible that the final will be held in Valencia."

The president was however very quick to dismiss the final, and insisted there is still work to be done before the final, suggesting it would be dangerous to focus on the final with important games in La Liga and the Champions League before April.

"I like to go step by step, match by match," he claimed. "The final of the Copa Del Rey is still far away and I share the idea of my coach to go game by game, with prudence and calm."

Rosell also praised his team, and particularly Lionel Messi for their victory over Atletico, and breaking the record for straight wins in La Liga, which now sits at 16.

"I am very pleased that our coach and players are doing a perfect job, because it has not been easy and there is a lot of effort and hard work behind it.

"Leo is the best player in the world and it shows game after game. We have the best player and best team in the world," he concluded.
