Manchester United Boss Sir Alex Ferguson Blasts FA For Investigating Gary Neville, Says Carlos Tevez Should Have Seen Red
Fergie baffled by FA's decision...
By Mick Maguire
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has questioned the FA over its decision to investigate the much-publicised row between Gary Neville and Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.
The former team-mates traded inflammatory gestures during the Sky Blues' victory in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final, with both players receiving official warnings.
But while Ferguson maintains that Tevez should have been expelled for a wild lunge on Wes Brown, he sees no reason why English football's governing body needed to get involved in what he feels was a non-incident.
According to the News of the World, the Scot said: "Is that the FA's domain? It is the League Cup. Bloody hell, what next?
"Tevez should have been sent off, really. Other than that, nothing happened in the game.
"It was competitive but there were no confrontations on the pitch, nothing."
