Aston Villa drawn against Blackburn...
Holders Manchester United will face Manchester City in the semi finals of the League Cup.
The Red Devils progressed to the last four courtesy of a 2-0 win over Tottenham, while City dispatched Spurs' North London rivals Arsenal 3-0.
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is confident his side can get to Wembley.
He told Sky Sports: "We are just taking in the events of this evening but they're going to be two fantastic games and the whole of Manchester will be tuning in and looking forward to some fantastic games."
"Over two games we'd fancy our chances against anyone left in the draw, so bring them on.
In the other tie Blackburn will face Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa after beating Chelsea 4-3 on penalties. The game finished 3-3 after extra time.
Paul Robinson saved 18-year-old Gael Kakuta's penalty to put Rovers through.
The two-legged ties will be played in the weeks beginning January 4th and January 18th.
