The wily Scot could escaped unpunished for his latest ref rant...Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will escape sanction from the FA for his remarks about referee Chris Foy's timekeeping, according to a report from The Sporting Life.
Ferguson was angry that Foy added a mere five minutes injury time on to the end of the Red Devils' 1-0 FA Cup third round defeat to Leeds United on Sunday, branding the referee's conduct "an insult" to fans and players.
Those comments led to speculation that the FA could hit the Scot with the two game touchline ban, suspended until the end of next season after his attack in Alan Wiley's fitness earlier in the season.
The FA have reportedly decided though that Ferguson's latest remarks do not transgress any boundaries of acceptability though and the United boss will be free to take his place on the touchline as normal.
