In spite of the action planned on the London tube system, the Blues have revealed Monday's west London derby against the Cottagers will not be postponed
After careful consideration, the Blues have decided to give their Boxing Day game the go ahead, despite concerns that fans would find it difficult to reach Stamford Bridge because of the tube strike action taking place that day.
Eight games within the Premier League and Football League are due to take place on the Monday in the capital, including Arsenal's clash against Wolves, with the strikes set to disrupt travel for supporters.
The Blues have examined the implications presented by the planned strike and have consulted with the local council, Metropolitan Police and transport authorities.
Chelsea are confident that they can provide a safe environment for both sets of fans during the west London derby and have advised supporters to allow plenty of time for their journey and to monitor transport websites.
