Arsene Wenger names the same front three that helped defeat Chelsea 5-3 last weekend, whilst Laurent Koscielny also returns to the centre of defence

Thomas Vermaelen starts his second game in succession for Arsenal in their Premier League clash with West Brom at the Emirates on Saturday.

The Belgian international partners Laurent Koscielny in the centre of defence, as Per Mertesacker drops out of the starting XI following Tuesday’s 0-0 Champions League draw with Marseille.

Robin van Persie also returns to the first team after missing out in midweek, as boss Arsene Wenger names the same front trio that helped defeat Chelsea 5-3 last weekend.

Meanwhile West Brom manager Roy Hodgson is without striker Peter Odemwingie, as Simon Cox returns to the starting XI to lead the Baggies front line.

Graham Dorrans and James Morrison also slot into the away side's midfield, having featured from the bench in last week's 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny; Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Andre Santos; Song, Ramsey, Arteta; Walcott, Gervinho, Van Persie.
