The Welshman believes victory on Sunday was the result of a ‘great team performance’ and says the north Londoners are simply concentrating on their own fixtures
Spurs swept aside their newly-promoted visitors thanks to a brace from Bale and a strike from Rafael Van der Vaart.
The result extends the north Londoners’ unbeaten run in the league to eight matches, and the Welshman believes this recent good form is filling everyone at the club with confidence for the challenges ahead.
“It's just good to get goals and the three points that lifts us into the top six,” he told Sky Sports.
“It was a great team performance today.
“The confidence is growing. We've been playing well and concentrating on our own football. Scoring goals is part of our game and we've been doing that.”
The second of Bale’s goals, a stunning curling finish from the edge of the box, came at a time when QPR were threatening to get back into the match, and the 22-year-old admits the timing of the strike was crucial.
“They were just starting to come on top and putting a bit of pressure on us and it was a very important goal,” he added.
