With just two fully-fit central defenders, Harry Redknapp has received a timely boost ahead of the all-London affair on Sunday, with the two long-term absentees both training
Both have been long-term casualties for the club, and the news will come as a timely boost to Harry Redknapp, who has been struggling for midfielders over recent weeks, and to date, only has two fully-fit centre backs in Sebastien Bassong and Younes Kaboul.
Spurs coach Clive Allen told London24: "Steven Pienaar and William Gallas are back in training, which is good, so we'll hopefully have one or two more to select from on Sunday.
"I don't know if William will play but he could well be involved, he may make the bench. It just depends on the reaction to his training this week."
Meanwhile, Redknapp will also be hoping to welcome back Brazilian midfielder Sandro to the team on Sunday. The 22-year-old was expected to be ready for last Saturday's clash with Blackburn, but wasn’t risked by Redknapp, who left him on the bench to avoid exacerbating the injury.
