Spurs defender hasn't featured since October due to ongoing groin problem but replaces Gallas for Redknapp's side as they look to leapfrog Liverpool into fifth
Spurs can move into fifth, above their hosts for the day, if they can win and have King back in their side after overcoming a groin injury that has kept him out since October. He replaced William Gallas at centre-back; the Frenchman is out for the rest of the season with a calf problem.
Harry Redknapp has rung more changes by bringing in Younes Kaboul for Vedran Corluka at right-back, and Steven Pienaar for Wilson Palacios.
Meanwhile, Andy Carroll was not deemed fit enough for Liverpool's 5-2 win at Fulham in midweek but returns to the starting XI alongside Luis Suarez.
