American rapper and Arsenal supporter Jay-Z has hinted at possibly investing in the Premier League giants if the opportunity should arise.

Jay-Z, whose name is Shawn Carter, owns a portion of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets and is supposedly worth around £500million.

As a fan of the Gunners, the rap legend has made it known that he would jump right into Premier League ownership if the right deal fell in his lap.

"I don’t know a lot about the business of soccer, but in the future if the right opportunity presented itself, then who knows? I am a businessman, and I will always look at an opportunity, and if it feels right great,” he said in an interview with Arsenal Magazine.

Jay-Z also noted that he has been a fan of Arsenal for a couple of seasons, and was swayed when he saw Frenchman Thierry Henry at his best with the Gunners.

"It was about five years ago now.

"When Thierry Henry was at the club I saw him play and I just thought he was an amazing player. Ever since then I have been a big fan of the club, following you guys, and still today you play the beautiful football that Thierry did. I think he had a real long term-effect on the team."
