Everton winger Landon Donovan has cautioned his squad to be weary of the threat imposed by his American national team-mate, Hull City striker Jozy Altidore has to be watched closely when their two sides meet at Goodison Park on Sunday.

“Jozy is a very talented footballer and when he really fancies it, he can be a top player. In the last few weeks, I think he's played really well for Hull,” Donovan told EvertonTV.

"Physically, he's as gifted as any striker I've ever played with or against and he's got all the gifts. When he means it, he's a very good player."

With the United States’ all-time leading scorer set to return to the MLS when his loan expires this month, Donovan hopes to mark his last game at Goodison Park with a victory.
